Burykh Yuriy Sergeyevich

Burykh Yurii Serhiiovych (* 31 January 1939, Kursk - † 9 August 1987, Kursk) was a Ukrainian Soviet operetta artist, singer (baritone). Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1969).
Biography.
In 1961 he graduated from the State Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow (teachers: B. Pokrovsky and A. Goncharov).

1961-1963 - actor of the Kharkiv Theatre of Musical Comedy.

1964-1985 - artist of the Kyiv State Operetta Theatre.

"An actor of a vivid stage image, his characters are distinguished by elegance and sophistication. He had a high baritone voice with a pleasant timbre. He performed classical and gypsy romances in concert programmes."
