Mykhailo Borchenko (born c. 1870, Ukraine - ?) was a Ukrainian opera and concert singer (tenor), dramatic actor, and entrepreneur.
General information
He received his vocal education privately.
In 1890-1991, he was an actor in the Ukrainian music and drama troupe of Heorhiy Derkach.
1892-1996 - in the troupe of Mykola Sadovsky.
1897-1998 - an actor in the troupe of Dmytro Haidamaka.
1899-1902 - actor in the Onysym Suslov's troupe.
1902-1904 - in the troupe of Fedir Volyk.
1910-1911 - in the troupe of Nikolai Albikovsky.
He had an extremely beautiful voice of a wide range.
In 1896, he performed a Ukrainian concert in Novocherkassk.
From 1913, he had his own troupe, with which he performed in the cities of Ukraine and Russia, in particular, in 1914 they toured Tomsk. The troupe included the famous singer Dzbanovska.
In 1903, he recorded several folk songs and romances by Ukrainian composers, including a duet with P. Platonov (Tsesevych) at the Gramophone Company (St. Petersburg).
