Bondarenko Sergey Grigorievich

Bondarenko Serhii Hryhorovych (born 9 November 1954, Pivdennyi village, now Pivdenne, Kharkiv region) is a Ukrainian singer (baritone), soloist of the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre. People's Artist of Ukraine (2014).
Serhii Bondarenko was born on 9 November 1954 in the village of Pivdennyi (now the city of Pivdenne, Kharkiv region).

In 1979, he graduated from the vocal faculty of the Tchaikovsky Kyiv State Conservatory (class of I. Vilinska).

He worked as a soloist of the Kyiv State Music Hall (1977-1979), soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kyiv Military District (1979-1981), soloist of the Revutsky Men's Choir of Ukraine (1981-1987), and soloist of the Kyiv Concert.

In 1977 he successfully performed at the International Festival "Golden Autumn" (Bratislava), in 1982 he became a laureate of the 5th Republican Festival "Young Voices" (Zaporizhzhia, 1982, First Prize), in 1985 he became a laureate of the XII World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow.

He has been working at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre since 1987.

Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1985). People's Artist of Ukraine (since 17 December 2014).
