Roman Bociurkiw (sometimes Roman Botsurkiv; 17 June 1960, Edmonton - 5 July 2003, Vancouver) was a Canadian bandura player of Ukrainian descent. Son of Bohdan-Rostyslav, brother of Mykhailo Bociurkiw.
Biography.
He was born on 17 June 1960 in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada). His father, Bohdan-Rostyslav Bociurkiw, is a well-known Canadian historian, political scientist, and public figure of Ukrainian descent, born in Buchach (now Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine).
He was educated at the minor seminary at St Volodymyr's College (Manitoba) and the Greek Catholic Seminary in Ottawa.
He was a street bandura player. He has performed all over Canada.
