1951

Bobytskyi Vitalii Mykolaiovych (16 February 1951, Pirvanche village, Horokhiv district (now Horokhiv community of Lutsk district), Volyn region, Ukrainian SSR - 10 March 2011, Lutsk, Volyn, Ukraine) - singer, choirmaster, conductor, civil servant.
Vitalii Mykolaiovych Bobytskyi was born on 16 February 1951 in the family of Mykola Ivanovych and Klavdia Klymivna Bobytskyi in the village of Pirvanche, Horokhiv district, Volyn region. In September 1958, he entered the first grade of Pirvanche eight-year school, graduating in 1966. After that, he continued his studies at the Ivan Franko High School in Horokhiv. While studying at the school, he constantly took part in various song competitions and festivals, where he repeatedly won prizes. He was an active participant in amateur performances both in his native village and in the district. After receiving his secondary school diploma (1968), he went to work as an assistant tractor driver at the local Druzhba collective farm. Then he attended a driving course at the Horokhiv motor club of the DOSAAF.

From May 1969 to November 1971, he served in the army. The army routine did not prevent him from becoming a soloist of the military unit's song and dance ensemble.

After completing his service, he worked for two years as a collection driver at the Gorokhiv branch of the State Bank of Ukraine. In Horokhiv, he went to an audition with the head of the men's choir, Valentyn Rychtovsky. After listening to him, the talented leader realised that he could not be without a song, and the song could not be without him. Vitaliy became the soloist of the chapel from the first day he joined it.

In April 1973, he married Halyna Prykhoda, a resident of the village of Krasiv, Hokhiv district. In September of the same year, he became a student at the Lutsk State Music College, graduating in 1977. In 1974, his daughter Victoria was born, and in 1981, his second daughter Natalia. His wife and daughters also devoted their lives to art.

He began his professional artistic career as a vocalist with the Cherkasy Folk Choir. Later he returned to Volyn, where he was appointed director of the Ivanychi Children's Music School (1978-1988). He constantly provided assistance to clubs in the district, was a soloist in the brass band, the folk orchestra of the school's teachers, and participated in all concerts and public events in the district centre, where he created and led seven choirs.

From 1988 to 1993, he directed the staff of the Novovolynsk Music School. He created a folk instruments orchestra at the school and became its soloist, and resumed the work of the chamber orchestra. He provided constant methodological and practical assistance to amateur groups of the city's Palace of Culture. He was a soloist of the pop, brass and children's domra orchestras. In 1989, he created the Bratove male vocal group, which was awarded the title of "People's" in 1992.

In 1993, he was transferred to the position of the head of the Department of Culture of the Novovolynsk City Executive Committee, and in 2002 he headed the Training and Methodological Centre of Culture of Volyn. He proved himself to be a professionally competent leader, initiator and organiser of many international, national, regional and city cultural and artistic events (Berehynia International Folklore Festival, Lesia Ukrainka All-Ukrainian Choral Art Competition, All-Ukrainian laboratory-workshop on straw weaving "Solomianyi Bychok", Interregional competition of directors of district houses of culture and folk houses "Prosvita" "Best in Profession", All-Ukrainian competition of cymbals and flute players "Volynska Hukovytsia"). He put a lot of work into the preparation and successful holding of creative reports of masters of arts and artistic groups of the region in the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine" (Kyiv, 1999, 2001, 2003). He took part in them as a director, solo vocalist and presenter.

He was awarded many diplomas of the Volyn Regional Administration, the Regional Council, and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Volyn Region.
