Bezsalyi Alexander Mikhailovich

1946-2022

Bezsalyi Oleksandr Mykhailovych (4 October 1946, Novomykhailivka, Chernihiv district, Zaporizhzhia region - 26 March 2022, Zaporizhzhia) was a Soviet and Ukrainian singer. Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine (1990). Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2001).
He was born on 4 October 1946 in the village of Novomykhailivka, Chernihiv district, Zaporizhzhia region.

Graduated from the Poltava Agricultural Institute (1974) and the Platon Maiboroda Zaporizhzhia Music College (1993, V. Krymenko vocal class).

In 1978-1990 he was a soloist at the National Opera Theatre, since 1990 he has worked as a vocalist at the Dniprospetsstal Iron and Steel Works and as a soloist at the Zaporizhzhia Regional Philharmonic. He toured Austria and Poland as part of a concert brigade.

He was also known as a performer of the "Anthem of Journalists" written by Oleksandr Zhytomyrskyi.

He died on 16 March 2022 in Zaporizhzhia at the age of 75.
