Berezhnyckyj Bohdan Teofilovych (15 August 1887, Sambir - 30 December 1965, Vienna) was a Ukrainian cellist, teacher; concertmaster at the Vienna Folk Opera (Volksoper); toured with Vasyl Barvinsky; professor at the Lviv Higher Music Institute.
Biography.
He studied at the Lviv Conservatory and in Leipzig with Professor Julius Klengel. From 1913 he worked in the Oskar Nedbal Orchestra (Vienna), and from 1918 he worked at the Lviv Opera House. 1919-1924 - Professor at the Higher Music Institute (Lviv). From 1928 he was a concertmaster at the Vienna Volksoper; a member of the Hugo Gottesman Quartet (Vienna). He toured Galicia with Vasyl Barvinsky (piano) (1923), performed in Lviv (1924-1929), Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro (all in 1929), and cities in Austria and Germany.
