Vasyl Baleshta (b. 1891; according to other sources, 1893, Toky village, now Ternopil district, Ternopil region - d. 5 February 1973, Canora, Canada) was a Ukrainian conductor, lawyer, and cultural activist.
Biography
In 1913, he moved to Canada, where he created and led choirs and drama groups in the cities of Toronto and Winnipeg. From 1935 he was a lawyer in Kanora. He directed choirs at the church and the Ukrainian National House, and was the head of the local branch of the UCC.
