Anatolii Tymofiiovych Avdiievskyi (August 16, 1933, Fedvar village, Oleksandrivskyi district, Kirovohrad region - March 24, 2016, Kyiv) was a Ukrainian choral conductor, composer, teacher, Hero of Ukraine, Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize. Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (1995). Full member (academician) of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (1996), head of the National All-Ukrainian Music Union.
Family.
His father, Tymofii Ivanovych, was born in Avdiivka village, Kholmyn district, Chernihiv region, a veterinarian - from 1940 until the end of his life they lived in Tsebrykove village, Velykomykhailiv district, Odesa region;
mother, Hanna Yukhymivna, a veterinarian in the village of Tsebrykove.
The family had four children: two sons and two daughters.
Anatolii Tymofiiovych's wife is Maya Panteleimonivna Avdiievska, a teacher and choreographer, Honored Artist.
Children: Oksana (1960), Timofey (1964).
Grandchildren: Maksym (1983), Nastia (1990).
Biography.
1940-1948 - a student of the secondary school in Tsebrykove village, Velykomykhailivskyi district, Odesa region. 1948-1953 - student of the Odesa State Music College, conducting and choral department. 1951-1958- teacher of music and singing, director of choirs (Odesa). 1951-1958 - student of the Odesa State Conservatory named after A. Nezhdanova. In 1958, he graduated from the Odesa Conservatory (under Dmytro Zahretskyi and Kostiantyn Pyhrov).
In 1958-1963 he was the founder, artistic director and chief conductor of the Polissia Song and Dance Ensemble "Lenok" (Zhytomyr).
In 1963-1966, he was the artistic director and chief conductor of the Cherkasy Ukrainian Folk Choir.
Since 1966, he has been the director, artistic director and chief conductor of the Honored Academic Ukrainian Folk Choir named after Hryhoriy Veriovka. Among his students is People's Artist of Ukraine Liudmyla Klymenko.
In 1971-1976 he was a lecturer at the Kyiv Conservatory.
In 1977-1980 he was a lecturer at the Kyiv Institute of Culture.
Since 1980, he has been a lecturer at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute (since 1986 - Professor).
Since 1991 - Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Music Union (since 1998 - National All-Ukrainian Music Union).
Since 1995 - President of the National Music Committee of Ukraine of the International Council of UNESCO. Since 2000 - Vice-Rector - Director of the Institute of Arts of the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University.
On March 7, 2016, he celebrated his 50th anniversary as the chief conductor and artistic director of the H. H. Veriovka National Honored Academic Ukrainian Folk Choir of Ukraine.

Anatoliy Avdiyevsky died on March 24, 2016. He was buried in Kyiv at the Baikove Cemetery (plot No. 52a).
Creative work.
Author of choruses - "Greeting and round dance", "Not thunder in the steppes roar" (on the words of Dmytro Lutsenko), "Over the wide Dnipro" (on the words of V. Lahoda), arrangements of folk songs.
