Avdeev Sergey

Sergey Avdeev (* 4 February 1966, Arseniev, Primorsky Krai) is a Ukrainian musical comedy actor, singer (baritone), actor of the Kyiv Operetta Theatre. People's Artist of Ukraine (2019). Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2007).
Sergei Avdeev was born in Primorsky Krai (RSFSR). At the age of six, he moved with his parents to Cherkasy, where he graduated from school and was a choir soloist. He inherited his voice from his mother, who had a strong voice, although she was not a professional singer.

He graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. He studied vocals with Roman Maiboroda.

He has been working at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre since 2002. In 2015, he was mobilised to the army as a conductor of a military orchestra.

Over the years of his work at the National Opera House of Ukraine, Serhiy Avdeev has revealed himself as a talented and highly professional actor, creating a whole gallery of vivid stage images, which he has always given an expressive and complete stage form," the theatre's official website says.

In addition to working in the theatre, Sergey Avdeev performs in concert programmes with classical and contemporary repertoire.
