Biography.
In 1973-1977 he studied at the Ternopil Music College. Graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (1982). Since 1979 he has been a concertmaster, since 1992 - artistic director, chief conductor of the Darnychanka Folk Song and Dance Ensemble of Ukraine. Since 1989, he has been teaching at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
He has toured the CIS countries, the Baltic States, Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Great Britain, France, and Croatia. He is the author of arrangements and arrangements of Ukrainian folk songs for choirs and vocal ensembles, songs based on the words of Ukrainian poets. Compiler and music editor of the collection of songs "Road to Mom" (T., 2002), which includes works on the words of Ternopil poets Vasyl Deriy, Hanna Kostiv-Huska and others.
Since 1992 - artistic director, conductor of the Honored Folk Song and Dance Ensemble of Ukraine "Darnychanka".
1999 - Professor at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
Public activity
He is active in public and charitable activities. Member of the Board of the International Charitable Foundation "Ukrainian House" (1997). Co-chairman of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Arts "The Future of Ukraine is in Children!" and the International Festival of Culture "Comb Evenings" (2017).
Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (2000).
Secretary of the National All-Ukrainian Music Union (2007).
Since 2017 - Head of the Kyiv Regional Branch of the Mykola Leontovych All-Ukrainian Choral Society.
