Afanasieva Nelida Vasylivna

Nelida Vasylivna Afanasieva (born 20 June 1946, Khabarovsk, RSFSR) is a Ukrainian pianist. Honoured Artist of Ukraine (1990).

Biography.
She graduated from the music school and with honours from the Glier Kyiv Music College (class of L. B. Shur).

Laureate of the Republican Piano Competition (1964).

Graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (1970, class of O. Kholodna, O. Inozemtseva).

After graduation, she became a concertmaster and soloist of the Kyiv State Philharmonic (now the National Philharmonic of Ukraine).

Miroshnychenko, A. Solovyanenko, Maria Stefiuk, Anatolii Kocherha, Mykola Kondratiuk, Valerii Buymister, Liudmyla Yurchenko, Taras Shtonda, and others. She has prepared numerous solo programmes with the Philharmonic soloists.

She has participated in the Decades of Ukrainian Literature and Art in the republics of the former Soviet Union, toured Spain, Germany, Finland, Japan, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia and New Zealand, etc.

Since 1960, she has been touring as part of a piano duo with S. Glukh, performing monographic programmes of foreign classics, Ukrainian classical and contemporary music. The duo was featured in the music film "Moods" (1984, directed by Y. Suyarko, Ukrtelefilm studio).

He has stock recordings, gramophone records.

Since 1992 - lecturer, associate professor (since 1994) of the Department of Piano Performance and Artistic Culture of the Institute of Arts of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

Husband: Viktor Titkin is a singer, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
