Oleh Rezzov (March 16, 1959, Rivne, Ukraine) is a composer, pianist, and music researcher.
He was born on March 16, 1959, in the city of Rivne, Western Ukraine, into a family of musicians. He graduated from the B. Beishenalieva Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts in Frunze in 1984 as a pianist and in 1988 as a composer. In 1990, he completed an assistantship-training there. His teachers at different times were Polina Tsokurenko, Leonid Tamulevych, Volodymyr Zhelobkov, Mykhailo Burshtyn, Volodymyr Husiev, and V. Brailovsky. He started writing music at the age of 9. He worked in different styles. He performed as part of a piano duet with pianist Natalia Nikolenko.
For many years he was a composition teacher at the music school and an associate professor of special piano at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory in Bishkek. He was actively engaged in concert and lecture activities. Since 2010, he has been living in Vinnytsia and working at the Vinnytsia College of Culture and Arts named after M. Leontovych.
Since 1996, Oleh Reztsov has been a member of the Union of Composers of Kyrgyzstan.
Since 2012, he has been a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
Biography.
He is the author of more than 1000 musical works of various genres, mainly piano, chamber instrumental and vocal. His children's plays from the author's collections "Zorepad", "Giraffe Naughty", "Paper Boat", "Magic Door", etc. are very popular.
The composer is actively engaged in music education and has a wide repertoire, ranging from ancient examples of the art of the clavier to works by his contemporaries. He is eager to share the results of his research in the field of musical semantics and the connection of performed music with other art forms, emphasizing the content and semantic aspects.
He has given more than 400 concerts and lectures in various cities.
In December 2008, together with the pianist Helena Mosoryuk, he organized the Argonauts Arts Festival, dedicated to the work of a number of prominent masters of contemporary music, poetry and painting, in which he took an active part as a performer. Also, together with H. Mosoryuk, he conducted 25 one and a half hour radio programs "Very Old Music" on Radio "OK" (1999).
