Born on February 7, 1965 in Lviv. He studied at Secondary School No. 14, at the Lviv State School of Culture and Arts, at the Lviv State Institute of Physical Education, at the Transcarpathian State University (faculty of practical psychology).
He started playing music and singing, as well as football, from childhood. And when, at the age of 14, a dilemma arose, he preferred football, although he subconsciously believed that the time would come when the stage would call him.
After graduating from SDYUSHOR "Karpaty" (coaches Anatoly Tyshchenko, Myron Markevich), he played for the teams of the masters of the higher, first and second leagues of the championships of the USSR and Ukraine, in particular "Metalist" Kharkiv (1982–1983), SKA "Karpaty" (1983–1984), "Avangard" Rovno (1987), "Metalurg" Magnitogorsk (1988), "Gazovik" Komarno (1993–1994). His football career was cut short by a serious injury.
He started his creative activity in 1995. During this time, he created more than 400 songs. Yaroslav Muzika's compositions are performed by People's Artists of Ukraine Liliya Sandulesa, Pavlo Dvorskyi, Maryan Shunevich, Mykhailo Matsyalko, Ostap Stakhiv, Yaroslav Boruta, Honored Artists of Ukraine Marianna Laba, Andriy Zalisko, Taras Kurchyk, Irena Grekh, Viktor Hrybyk, as well as Anzhelika Shcherbakova, Yurii Tsvetkov, Olena Korneeva, Volodymyr Pitel, Anichka, Viktor Gembara, Sofia Fedina, Valery Kyrychenko, duet "River of Life", Rostyslav Muzyka, Lyubomir Tarnavskyi and others.
He sings most of his original songs himself - both at various concerts and at his own solo performances, which periodically take place with great success in the Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska, in the National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Maria Zankovetska, in the Lviv National Philharmonic Hall, as well as in the cities of Ukraine and abroad - in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy. The artist is always in a creative search - he updates his song repertoire every time.
His work includes 15 studio albums (13 songs and 2 instrumentals), 1 single, and 11 books of poetry.
